Drop-in Doughnut Day

September 27 @ 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

No registration required!

Teaching can be a rewarding aspect of your work as a faculty member, but it isn’t always easy. And when you’re busy, workshops or longer teaching academies may not fit your schedule. If you want just the right support without a lot of commitment, Drop-in Doughnut Days are for you! Drop into CATLOE, the University’s teaching and learning center, to build community and to build your teaching practice! There is no set agenda, so just bring your teaching challenges (Distracted students! An assignment that just doesn’t seem to work!), teaching questions (Is there a faster way to grade? Why do my students get so quiet during discussions?), and teaching victories (A great activity! A tip about helping students manage their learning better!). You bring those challenges, questions, and victories, and the instructional consultants at CATLOE will facilitate discussion, support you, and provide delicious doughnuts! Drop-in days and times change to accommodate as many schedules as possible so check the fall calendar each week. Even if you don’t have a specific teaching issue on your mind, you’re welcome to come by and listen to the conversation!
